Since flickr seems to block unregistered users from seeing my pics, I'm going to start to post them one a day here.

This photo was taken at Briones Regional Park in CA. It was one of my first times playing with HDR http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_dynamic_range_imaging .

1) Why should anyone get excited over a piece of plastic that turns your wiimote and numchuck into a lightgun? Or that it will come with some software? The original NES came out in 1985 with a light gun and duck hunt. Here we are 21 years later and the big excitement is the EXACT same thing.

2) Why should anyone get excited over a piece of plastic that turns the wiimote into a steering wheel. There was a game last year that came with that for the wii. Furthermore why should Mario Kart for the Wii be a huge deal, especially that it's online. To me it's just another damn ds game put on the wii. Online shouldn't be something gamers should get excited over, it should be something that is standard.

Seriously I understand that this year the E3 news isn't going to be like last year. However give us something more than 20 year old technology, a ds port, and online gaming. My feeling about Nintendo and the Wii is getting worse by the day.

The gaming industry seems to be stuck in the same idea. Good wins over evil. Obviously in real life we want that to happen, but aren't games supposed to be an escape from real life? Why is it that 99% of games have you playing the part of the hero out to save the land from Evil? Why is it that 99% of games are about the underdog fighting back against their oppressors?

Honestly I can think of a handful of games that allow you to really be evil.

Why can't I be an Orc setting out to kill the nice wood elfs?

I really think it's time that game developers start paying more attention to the evil sides of stories. Let players be the evil character. Create puzzles where the player has to think evil to solve it. Shake things up!

I didn't like WoW. I hated Zelda Twilight Princess. Didn't like Starcraft. Never have played HALO. Hated Mario Party. Psyconauts bugged the shit out of me. Final Fantasy bites the big one in my mind.

Pretty much all of the games that everyone goes nuts over.. I don't like or care for.

Games I loved:
Earth and Beyond: Most would say one of the worst MMO's
Saga of Ryzom: Again most would tell you it sucked.
Y's Series: Most would say it was mediocre at best.
Shadow President: What's that?
Sega Bass Fishing (with the fishing controller only).: Fishing????


So I have come to the conclusion that I'm just fucked up when it comes to liking games. lol

Today announced changes to the worlds more awesome service.. gametap. There was once upon a time where gametap was full of nothing but really old console games. That was ok, I liked it. But the service never managed to get a major audience. So how do you change that...

- Add multiplayer to older consoler games.... check.
- Add more consoles and emulation.... check.
- Get more great, but classic windows titles... check.
- Get exclusive and new series. (Sam and Max)... check.
- Being back a cult MMO from death (Uru live)... check.
- Offer something besides games (cartoons from cartoon network) check.
But something still is missing what is it???

- New games the same day they are released in stores to members.... FOR FREE! CHECK!
- Xbox live type features... CHECK!

That's right folks. As of May 31st gametap will not only be offering a huge library of classic games (including Saturn Emulation). It will also start offering new top tier titles to it's members free as part of the service at the same time they are being sold in the store! The first of these is Tomb Raider Anniversary.

So if you aren't a gametap member... become one damnit!
